Kayaking in Fiji
Specialist ocean kayak expeditions are available through Southern Sea Ventures around the stunning Yasawa Group of islands amidst crystal waters and shallow lagoons. The 10 day trips include village visits and some of the best beaches in Fiji. For more of an adventure, there are kayaking expeditions along the rugged coastline of Kadavu and off Savusavu in Vanua Levu. All tours offer stunning coastal scenery, turquoise waters and secluded beaches. Day and week tours available from April to November.

Rafting in Fiji
White water rafting (Class III rapids), motorized canoe cruises and traditional bilibili (bamboo raft) tours are all available on the Navua River in East Viti Levu (Rivers Fiji; Adventures in Paradise). All tours pass through rich rainforest, river gorges and traditional riverside villages.

Local outboard boats travel up the Rewa River Delta daily from Nausori and make adventurous return journeys dropping off villagers along the way. An interesting festival is held each year in March when large bilibilis converge at Nausori in a rather laid-back race starting from their home villages along the Delta.
Many parts of the coast along Viti Levu are covered in mangrove forests. These areas are extremely rich in wildlife and are favourite spots for local fishing. A boat journey through the meandering corridors of the mangrove forests has yet caught on as a tour in itself. However, some resorts offer guests private tours through these environments and it is quite easy to find a small boat around Nausori that is dropping passengers off at their villages along the river banks of the mangrove forests.
Shotover Jet Fiji offer all the thrills of jet boat rides set along the tight corridors of the mangrove channels around Nadi. Thrill rides are also available on Aqualand in the Mamanuca Group.

Game Fishing in Fiji
Game fishing is offered at many resorts throughout the Fiji Islands and by a handful of specialist companies who offer day and overnight excursions. Great Trevally, Marlin, Tuna, Sailfish and Wahoo are the sought after game.
Deep-sea game fishing specialists operate from Suva and Pacific Harbour in East Viti Levu, from Nadi and around the Mamanuca Group and off Savusavu and Taveuni in the Northern Islands.

Cycling in Fiji
Several areas in Fiji are good for cycling. These include the extremely serene and scenic stretch from south Vanua Levu to Taveuni in the Northern Islands and around Viti Levu, Fiji's main island. However, drivers on Viti Levu are pretty reckless and are not used to seeing cyclists on THEIR roads. This is particularly true along the Queen's Highway in Viti Levu which runs between the main centres of Nadi and Suva.
