Fiji is not the most practical destiantion to explore for travellers in wheelchairs. Public buses are completely out of the question and pavements in all towns will prove difficult for wheelchairs with steep drop-off's to the road and very narrow ramps for wheelchairs. Most inter-island travel is by either plane or by sea. Whilst travel on these is accessible for wheelchairs, there are few special provisions to help with mobility. A few resorts around the islands do cater for travellers in wheelchairs with a few rooms having access ramps and user-friendly bathrooms.
